We have a lot of new friends starting Medifast this month – or restarting and in need of a refresher – so we’re giving you a list of a few key things you should keep in mind as you start the Medifast 5&1 Plan.
Timing
- Space out your meals every 2-3 hours.
Meal Replacements
- You will eat 5 Medifast Meals every day.
- All meals have similar nutritional value so are completely interchangeable.
The Lean & Green Meal
- 5-7 ounces of protein;
- 3 servings of non-starchy vegetables;
- Up to 2 Healthy Fat servings.
Snacks
- You are permitted one snack per day.
- This snack can be a Medifast Snack or off of the approved snack list.
- This does not replace one of the Medifast Meals.
Condiments
- You may have up to 3 condiments per day off of the approved condiment list.
Water
- Drink 64 ounces of water each day.
