Four Reasons Why You Should Be an Early Bird

 

Did you know the majority of the most productive people in the world are early risers? Getting started in the morning can be the hardest part of the day, but it can also be the most productive. Start you day off right with these simple tips that will help you go from zzzz’s to rise-and-shine.

1. You snooze, you lose. Avoid hitting the snooze button; it prolongs your morning start. A good tip is to place your alarm clock on the other side of the room. That way, you have to physically get out of bed to turn it off.

2. Get active. Take a walk, practice yoga poses, or do some light exercise to stretch tight muscles and get blood flowing. Morning exercise boosts your energy, metabolism, and mood. So, you are more likely to embrace a healthy mindset and make better food choices throughout the day. Fitting in exercise every day can be a hard task. Getting your exercise done and out-of-the-way in the morning can give you a well-deserved sense of accomplishment.

3. Do work. Take care of at least one thing from your to-do list for the day. This could be anything from taking out the trash, taking half an hour to respond to emails, to watering the plants or paying bills. Start your day off on a positive note by accomplishing something. No matter what else happens, you can always look back and claim a victory.

4. Eat like a champion. It’s not new that eating breakfast is proven to jumpstart your metabolism. A healthy meal keeps your metabolism elevated throughout the day, meaning that you’ll be burning more calories, longer. So get that first meal of the day in within an hour of waking up and you’ll be off to a great start for the rest of your day!
