Strawberry & Basil Fauxito

Fresh basil is an excellent source of vitamin K and manganese and a good source of magnesium, copper, vitamin C, and vitamin A, nutrients essential to cardiovascular health among many other things. Basil also offers anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory benefits making this herb a healthy and nutritious way to add flavor to meals. Try basil on top of fresh tomato and mozzarella slices, in salads, sauces, stir-fries, and wraps, or in your next cup of tea. If cooking with basil, know that fresh basil yields its best flavor when added to dishes near the end of the cooking process.

Medifast® Mocktail: Strawberry & Basil Fauxito

Prep Time: 5 minutes  |  Yield: 1 Serving

Ingredients

  • ½-1 tsp Medifast Wild Strawberry Energy Drops
  • 2-3 basil leaves
  • 8-oz sparkling water or soda water
  • Crushed ice

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients and serve immediately.
