National Hot Tea Month

One of the keys to looking and feeling your best is staying hydrated! It’s especially important to drink fluids when following a lower-carbohydrate diet, since the diet can have a mild diuretic effect. In addition, thirst can be mistaken for hunger, so you can help control cravings by staying hydrated.

Liquids, such as water, tea, and coffee, can also help fill you up when you are eating less food. Drinking plenty of these liquids can help you lose weight and avoid uncomfortable symptoms.

If you’re feeling bored with plain water, try drinking tea! Herbal teas have been shown to offer additional health benefits, such as reduced risk for chronic diseases like heart disease and cancer, largely due to their high content of flavonoids (plant-derived antioxidants).
